Safety measures outside Narberth's new primary school are to be the subject of a special meeting. The town's County Councillor Wynne Evans has arranged for senior officers and representatives of the school governing body to look at road safety improvements in Spring Gardens and Jesse Road - the site of the new school - to discuss the safe routes to school initiative. "It is clearly felt that an upgrade of pavements and a extra road crossing officer, as well as a 20 mph speed limit on approaches to the school, with possible flashing speed signs, would certainly be very appropriate," he said. "I have also contacted the safety camera partnership to ask that Jesse Road and Northmead be new locations for the camera van when the school is fully operational." The meeting is scheduled to take place next week.
