Members of the town council have questioned why design plans for an £8.37 million investment into Tenby's primary schools are still yet to reach their office. The proposals by Pembrokeshire County Council which will result in two new schools, being developed on Heywood Lane, were recently approved by Huw Lewis, Welsh Minister for Education and Skills. However, after letters were circulated to nearby residents, notifying them that plans for the proposals would be available to view at the town council offices situated in the De Valence, the town clerk told councillors at their meeting on Tuesday night, that the plans had yet to be received. "We've had residents coming in to view the plans, but we've not yet had them," Mr. Andrew Davies told members. "This is another example of locals being kept in the dark again over the school proposals," commented Clr. Mrs. Tish Rossiter, whilst her colleague Clr. Mrs. Christine Brown called it 'stupid and embarrassing'.
