Class 3-6T at Tenby Junior School celebrated the Chinese New Year - the year of the dragon.
The children set to work after their Christmas break to make their dragon.
They enjoyed working together, thinking of their design and discussing which materials they were going to use.
The children were very creative and were delighted with their creation.
They went on a dragon parade around the corridors and class rooms, some of the children played musical instruments and held Chinese symbols which they had made.
Class 3-6T also learnt about Chinese culture, they made Chinese lanterns and wrote about The Story of Nian in literacy.
The children also had a taste of Chinese cuisine sampling different Chinese food and using chopsticks; for some of the children it was their first time tasting the different flavours. An enjoyable time was had by all!
