Sir,

As caring and responsible parents our only concern with current transport to Greenhill School is the uncertainty that our children may not have a seat to sit on.

Thanks to the county council responses provided by county councillor Mrs. Rosemary Hayes, we all now know what the county council is obliged to provide, and accept that they do indeed provide that minimum.

A school bus with guaranteed seats must be provided if there is not a safe pedestrian route, we are now further concerned as the county safety group will not provide their findings, following a meeting held in July, which confirmed the Saundersfoot to Tenby route to be safe.

Therefore, we would request that the county provide their risk assessment of the route, including their traffic census, assessment of the 'step off' points, traffic count, visibility assessment, safe gap assessment, accident record for the route and crossing facilities.

The Welsh Assembly have been very helpful in providing the guidelines for carrying out the required assessment, and were surprised that Pembrokeshire County Council are reluctant to provide the information relating to the assessment they have made.

As concerned parents of children at Greenhill, and on behalf of those children who will become pupils in the near future, we will to continue to campaign for a guaranteed seat for all the children who require them.

Philip Baker,

Northover,

Rushy Lake,

Saundersfoot.
