A school project to help grow plants for the town in conjunction with Tenby in Bloom has been hailed as another success.
Speaking at Tuesday night's meeting of the town council, Mayor of Tenby, Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane, who is also the bloom committee chairman, said that the 10 local schools that had contributed to the project had loved every minute of it.
"It's been very successful once again and the children love being involved. It's very rewarding and we're absolutely thrilled with their contribution," she said.
Clr. Mrs. Lane also said that the train station project was another 'fantastic success' and that she couldn't thank everyone involved with that enough, including the seven B &B owners who were helping to water the plants.
She said that the weeding group that had tackled the cemetery had done a fantastic job and had collected 51 bags of weeds from that area, and that a few had helped tidy up The Green.
"It's just about keeping on top of things and everyone is doing a fantastic job, but we always welcome more help from volunteers as we're only a small team," remarked Clr. Mrs. Lane, who added that the Wales in Bloom judge was due in town today (Friday).
