Tenby VC Infant School sadly said goodbye to two very dear friends on Tuesday, May 22. Rev. David Jenkins who has led Wednesday Morning Prayers at the school for the last 10 years and Mrs. Ellen Jenkins who had worked in every class over the years. The Year 2 children entertained governors, guests and children with a special assembly, followed by a scene from the Vicar of Dibley! But this one had a David Jenkins and surprisingly, Alice looked like Mrs. Jenkins! A presentation followed. A cheque was given from the school governing body in recognition of David's hard work, children from Tenby Junior School presented a gift and Tenby Infant School gave them both engraved watches. This was followed by a celebration tea given by the LEA and a magnificent cake made by Alison Williams. Mrs. John and all the staff of Tenby Infant School wish them both happy times in Llandudno and hope they will return to visit the school in the near future.
