Tenby will be turning back the clock tomorrow (Saturday) when the Sealed Knot Society stages a scripted battle re-enactment of the 17th Century English Civil War.
After assembling in the North Beach car park, the troops will proceed through the town to Tudor Square, where they will make their proclamations at 2.15 pm.
They will then head down to the Harbour and onto the North Beach, where they will espy and engage opposition on the beach.
During the skirmish there will be firing of muskets and cannon, flashing blades of swords and lining up of pikes, accompanied by drums and bugle calls. There will also be an expert p.a. commentary accompaniment.
The battle will end at around 3.30 pm and the armies will return to the North Beach car park, and back to their main camp at Carew.
Sponsored by the Tenby Chamber of Trade and Tourism, it all promises an exciting afternoon of historical activity, highly visible and (from a safe distance) accessible. And Tenby's North Beach is the picturesque setting.
