I would like to say a huge huge thank you to Julia from Silent World. I came across a snake under my bed, most likely brought into the house by one of my cats.

My first thought was to call the RSPCA who, although friendly, were not able to give me much help and even gave me a number to call for a centre somewhere in Devon.

It was when this centre told me they couldn't help and to speak to the RSPCA again that I remembered how lucky we are in Tenby to have a local aquarium/reptile centre.

I called Silent World who were ever so helpful. Julia came out within about 10 minutes of my call to rescue me from the snake - or should I say the snake from the house?

Luckily, she identified it as a grass snake, so there was no danger from it, although being told that there was a possibility of adders nearby was enough to make me very very glad I'd called in the professionals.

Julia took the grass snake to a new home away from the cats where it will hopefully recover from its experience.

I would like to say a huge thank you to her and the staff at Silent World who were very professional and saved me from my slithery visitor.
