Last Sunday, Saundersfoot Sea Angling Club held a six-hour rover, 10 anglers competed with six bringing fish to the scales - mackerel, bass, LSD and pollack. It was a specimen match and the winning LSD beat a mackerel by only two per cent. Results: 1. Dan Eddison with an LSD of 970g at 90 per cent of specimen weight (10 points and £30); 2. Ben Edwards with a bag of 1.61kg (eight points and £10); 3. Rob Beynon with a bag of 1.44kg (six points and £5); 4. Rob Collins with a bag of 1.23kg ( four points). Golden Peg drawn was that of Chris Meyer who did not compete. Next match is: August - Boat match over several weekends running out of Neyland. In case of last minute hitches, we shall meet at the Regency car park at 8 am with a view to leaving Neyland Marina at 9 am each trip, i.e. August 3, 10 and 17. Details of who will be going when will be on the noticeboard in The Captain's Table to confirm what was discussed last week. Weigh-in will take place at BB's each week, only two fish of each species to be weighed. This match is sponsored by BB's Bar and Jan'z Restaurant at Broadfield, £100 first prize £50 second.
