Off-shore
The Frostbite Series operates on a Saturday every fortnight and we are currently playing cat and mouse with the weather. After no wind last week, a good fresh race would have been possible this most recent Saturday so we it might be hoped that 'third time lucky', the next scheduled outing tomorrow would offer a better opportunity. However, the forecast of a south westerly force 5-6 looks a little daunting! Was Al Gore right ?
On-shore
Forgetting the weather, a good group of members enjoyed Graham's excellent fayre in the comfort of the club on Friday night. The Sunday lunches under his stewardship also went down well. Don't forget that the club is now open for food every Friday and Saturday between 6 and 11 pm and on Sundays for lunch between 12 and 2 pm.
More cruisers are now out of the water and on the dockside and being winterised. The view from the club is changing with a nearer view of these craft and the maintenance activities (supported by refreshment from the clubhouse).
The views inside the clubhouse are also to change soon with the acquisition of a big screen. This should be in place for the new season's rugby which will provide another excellent excuse for members to just drop down to the club.
