Well, zero hour is almost here, I hope you are all ready with your dinghy and kit checked and ready for the first race this Sunday. The race is the first of three for the Daffodil Trophy so we look forward to seeing you all bright and eager at 9 o'clock on Sunday morning for a start time of 10 am.
Some of our regular Sunday helpers have been afflicted with ailments that make it inadvisable for them to assist us at present, so we are very much in need of more help, on and off the water. If you would like to join in the action, or if you have offered in the past but not been contacted, please come along on Sunday and make yourself known to us. We look forward to welcoming any helpers into our midst!
Our membership secretary is feeling rather neglected at the moment as there has been a drop in subscriptions, so dig out those membership forms and part with some of your hard-earned cash - an ideal opportunity to pop along to the clubhouse on Friday evening or Sunday lunchtime and say 'Hello' as well as making Rolfe happy.
Anyone who is interested in joining the club, please come along and see us - you do not have to be a sailor, all new members will be made most welcome.
The Fitting Out Supper this year is being held in the clubhouse on Saturday, April 19. To ease the workload of our small band of helpers this will be a buffet, so please bring along some food for the table.
On Easter Monday (April 21) there will be a coffee morning at the clubhouse with coffee/biscuits and some sale tables, including boat bits, so please make a note of this and support us in raising funds that will hopefully go towards a computer system for race results (spreadsheets and formulas are almost completed -we just need a machine and printer in situ).
