Sixty local schoolchildren enjoyed a fun-filled and educational day at Folly Farm recently thanks to a special outing organised by members of Saundersfoot Rotary Club.
The fun day is one of the Rotary Club's most cherished annual community projects.
Students from Ysgol Greenhill in Tenby, along with primary school pupils from Saundersfoot, Sageston and Stepaside took part in the visit, which provided a unique opportunity to explore the attractions, learn about wildlife, and enjoy a range of recreational activities in a safe and supportive environment.
For many of the children, the trip offered a rare chance to experience a day out beyond the classroom, creating lasting memories while encouraging learning through adventure and discovery at Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo the award-winning attraction and a five star holiday park situated in Begelly.
The day began early for Saundersfoot Rotary Club members, who prepared packed lunches for all 60 pupils, as well as additional lunches for accompanying teachers and support staff.
To ensure the children could make the most of their visit, the club also provided each pupil with a wristband granting unlimited access to Folly Farm's rides and attractions throughout the day.
A spokesperson for Saundersfoot Rotary said: "This annual trip is one of the highlights of our Rotary year. Seeing the enjoyment and excitement on the children's faces makes all the effort worthwhile. We are delighted to be able to provide opportunities such as this for young people in our community."
Saundersfoot Rotary also expressed its sincere appreciation to the management and staff at Folly Farm for their warm welcome and ongoing support, which helps make the event such a success year after year.
The visit reflects Rotary's continuing commitment to supporting local young people and creating positive experiences that enrich their lives beyond the classroom.
