Members of Saundersfoot Chamber for Tourism are now putting together the finishing touches to their new Christmas venture.

After nine years of successfully staging the St. Nicholas Christmas Market, it was agreed this year to make a change. The new event will be for one day only and will incorporate a laser show, fireworks, fun fair, Santa's Grotto, entertainment and a Christmas carvery.

These will be held on Saundersfoot Harbour on Saturday, December 6, at various times during the day and evening, starting at 12 noon until 10 pm.

This year, the Chamber members are working in conjunction with Saundersfoot Community Council to make it a real village Christmas event. They are also grateful to Saundersfoot Harbour Commissioners for the use of the harbour parking area. They hope that all businesses in the village will stay open until late for that day and would also have a late night opening for one night each week in the run-up to Christmas. They would also like to invite all private houses in the vicinity of the village to light up the outside of their houses to make the village even more spectacular.

On a 'green' note: All the light bulbs being used by the Chamber for Tourism in the displays are low energy bulbs.
