The Society’s programme of lectures for 2022-23 will start on Wednesday (September 21) when Tudor Thomas will speak on the history of St. Catherine’s Island in Tenby
Lectures take place at the Regency Hall, Saundersfoot on the third Wednesday of each month, beginning at 7.30 pm.
Membership fees have been held at £12 with a charge of £3 for those only attending on the night, and of course non-members are always welcome.
In August the Society was pleased to mount a summer exhibition after the long pause caused by Covid.
The well-attended event, with the theme of the changing face of our village centre then and now, proved very popular with local people and visitors alike.
The committee would like to place on record its thanks to Mick Booth for his remarkable scale model of The Strand; the many members who gave up their time to undertake the necessary stewarding duties throughout the exhibition week; and to the Saundersfoot Community Treasure Chest; the Tenby and Saundersfoot Lions; and the Rotary Club of Saundersfoot for their generous financial support, without which the exhibition could not have gone ahead.
