The Salvation Army Hall was full last Saturday for the Christmas Fayre. Stalls included preserves, gifts, crafts, cakes and sweets, toys and much more. It was a time of fun and fellowship and £963 was raised to be used for local work. The support of the local community in attending the fayre was very much appreciated.
On Sunday, Majors Denise and Martyn Clements led the morning service. The congregation prayed for those recently bereaved - the families of Hetty Watkins and Helen Bullis-King, and also for Linda Lewis, whose mother, retired corps treasurer Nina Hodkin, of Ringwood, was Promoted to Glory last week.
The corps is now planning for the Christmas season and the band will be playing at Londis, New Hedges, on Saturday, December 6, for an hour from 10.30 am, and will then play in Tenby town. They will also be playing in Tenby on Wednesday, December 10, from 2-3 pm, and Wednesday, December 17, from 3-4 pm.
The family carol service is on Sunday, December 14, at 10.30 am, the children's club will be taking part in a carol service on Wednesday, December 17, at 6 pm, and Carols by Candlelight will be on Sunday, December 21, at 4 pm. The family service on Christmas morning is at 10.30 am. Everyone is welcome to join in this celebration of Christmas.
