A Tenby litter-pick sadly saw a surprising amount of rubbish retrieved from beauty spots across the seaside town on a recent Sunday, that started 'British Summer Time' and another holiday season.
Organised by the Plastic Free Tenby group, volunteers met at the Brother Thomas Garden on Crackwell Street on March 26 at 4 pm, to conduct the litter pick across parts of the coastal resort.
Litter pickers and bags were provided, with those helping out given the option to decide which parts of Tenby to pick litter in, and clean up as many areas as possible.
The Town Council’s community engagement officer Anne Draper posted a picture on social media of the first bag of litter collected just from the Brother Thomas Garden alone; followed by town councillor Laurence Blackhall who was on of those tasked with tackling the Paragon Gardens overlooking South Beach.
“A sadly surprising amount of rubbish gathered in Paragon Gardens in just over half an hour on Sunday! “Well done to everyone who joined in and thanks to the organisers,” he stated.
