Sir,

One of the highlights of my week is to receive my copy of the Tenby Observer which I have paid to receive since  my family and I left Tenby in 1998.

For three or so years while living in Tenby, I was elected to serve on the town council, having been chaplain to two  Mayors.

One of my concerns as a councillor was the speed with which we were able to see our  business through.

For instance, one of my  first meetings had on the agenda the provision of a  skatepark.

We all went on a site visit to one or two places where we thought a skatepark could be built.

Is it really true that Tenby council is still discussing this matter.... 'sacre bleu'.

Oh, another item was the  Dyster Memorial, which we agreed would be repaired and placed in Tudor Square.

I will look forward to seeing it in place when I come on my holiday in May to the jewel in the crown of Pembrokeshire and indeed Wales.

John Joseph,

Former minister of

St.  Johns Church.
