S4C is looking for enthusiastic and energetic volunteers to join the cast of hit S4C series, Con Passionate on the Coastal Challenge, a sponsored journey along the Welsh coast, held in aid of Autism Cymru. The Challenge arrives in the area on June 11 with an organised walk from St. Clears to Amroth. The journey of 15.5 miles will begin at St. Clears Car Park and end at the New Inn Pub in Amroth. Volunteers can leave or join the walk at Laugharne. The Challenge continues on June 12 as runners and cyclists travel from Amroth to Fishguard. Cyclists will follow the coastal route while the runners will go cross country. The money raised by the event will help support Autism Cymru's plans to develop a pioneering multi-site Welsh Autism Research Centre, initially based at Swansea University. Eleri Twynog, S4C's head of marketing, who is co- ordinating the Challenge, said: "S4C's sponsored events have proved very successful in the past but this is the first time for us to organise a sponsored journey involving different means of transport. "We hope the people of Pembrokeshire will do us proud again this year and help us support the important work of Autism Cymru."
