Tenby adventurer, Rosie Swale Pope has reached the Russian capital on her round the world voyage on two-feet.

Five months into her 20,000 epic trip, the 57-year-old grandmother has arrived in Moscow.

"Russia is fantastic and the people are incredibly friendly and nice," Rosie says in the latest update on her website.

"I've been able to buy berries and smoked fish and honey at the side of the road all the way through the beautiful large forests. I have camped a lot of the time and had no trouble at all," she continues.

"I even met my first very large Russian deer. The police and authorities, too, have all been very pleasant and helpful and drivers have taken the trouble to avoid splashing me.

"The weather has been getting slightly warmer, but the snow is about seven foot deep in the forest so camping has been hard.

"The run continues to be tough, because of the weight I have to carry, currently about 17 kilos, though this will get lighter as the weather becomes warmer and I do not have to carry so much kit."

Rosie also thanks all her family and friends for their support, including Tenby's Evergreen Nomads who have given her a donation to help with food and other expenses.
