Married at Reynalton United Reformed Chapel, on Friday, were Mr. Michael Kelly and Miss Marie Hughes.
The groom, an electrician with Energy Australia in Sydney, is the son of Tom and Margaret Kelly, of 5 Stamford Close, Kanwal, New South Wales, Australia, while the bride, a registered nurse at Sydney Children's Hospital, is the eldest daughter of Graham and Alwen Hughes, of Knightston Farm, New Hedges.
Given away by her father, the bride wore a strapless ivory satin gown with embroidered details, embellished with crystal and diamantes and a lace-up back.
Chief bridesmaid was her sister Sian, while bridesmaids were Miss Claire Butland and Miss Beth Pellowe, bride's friends. They wore aqua/jade satin strapless bodices and skirts.
Best man was Mr. David McKenna, a friend from Australia, groomsmen were Richie Precians, a friend from Australia, and Gareth Hughes, bride's brother, while the ushers were Donna and Raphaelle Kelly, groom's sisters.
The service was conducted by Rev. Russell Gordon and the organist was Mrs. Christine Watkins.
A wedding reception was held at the Beggars Reach Country Hotel.
The couple are both keen supporters of rugby union and met while the groom was in Cardiff for the World Cup in 1999.
It was fitting therefore that the main theme of their wedding linked both Wales, Australia and rugby union.
The couple will be making their home in Sydney, Australia.
