There was a right royal party when former county queens and attendants of Pembrokeshire YFC were reunited recently.

Organised by county queen Ros Bushell as part of the county federation's 70th anniversary celebrations, the reunion saw more than 100 people come together at the county show pavilion, Withybush, to reminisce and share their experiences of one of the most prestigious roles in Pembrokeshire YFC.

As well as enjoying a cheese and wine reception, with the cheese kindly donated by the Pembrokeshire Cheese Company, and a raffle of prizes donated by local businesses and organisations, there was a photographic display of the queens and attendants since the role began in 1952.

Ros also gave a presentation on the history of the role and there were many dresses on display from throughout the last 50 years, many of which still fitted the former queens!

There are now plans to hold a reunion of former county officials later this year.
