Rotary International runs a number of competitions for schoolchildren.

The Narberth and Whitland Club recently presented prizes to the winners of the various competitions at Dyffryn Taf School, Whitland.

In the picture are vice-president John Sleigh, on the left, with Rotarian Robert Elward on the right, who organised the competitions.

The winners, who are pictured with their certificates and prizes, were Charlotte Watson - Young Writer, English Prose; Natasha Harries - Young Writer, Welsh Prose; and Tasmin Traylor - Young Photographer. Not present, due to illness, was Christopher Hollis, who won the Young Writer English (Senior) Poetry.

All the winners will go forward to the next stage in the competitions.
