Brian Stoyel, president of Rotary International, Britain and Ireland, had chosen as his charity ACH - the Association of Children's Hospices. Children's Hospices welcome whole families for respite care. They provide expert palliative and emergency care and terminal care into bereavement for as long as is needed.
The Rotary Club of Saundersfoot were anxious to support the charity designated by the president, and one of their 'Duck Races' held on Saundersfoot Harbour raised the sum of £502. As it takes £1.5 million a year to run the only Children's Hospice in Wales at Ty Hafan, it is hoped this small contribution would be helpful to its work.
