Last week's speaker at the Rotary Club of Narberth and Whitland was Andy Taylor who is the manager of the Welsh National Opera Friends. Andy is an old acquaintance of president Robert Elward - they attended a Rotary visit to America as a group study exchange many years ago. Andy spoke about his experiences with the WNO and his work in fund-raising on behalf of the company. His talk was punctuated by excerpts from opera on CDs which the members recognised most of the time. His talk was received with rapt attention and he was thanked on behalf of the club by Rotarian Graham Haddleton.
