Tenby's adventurer Rosie Swale Pope will be making a welcome return from her latest marathon challenge tomorrow (Saturday).

But she has a 26.2-mile marathon to complete before she can actually put her feet up at home!

Every day since April 5, Rosie has completed a marathon pulling her trusty home on wheels.

Rosie began her challenge launching Tenby's new Wales Marathon on Easter Bank Holiday Monday, but no sooner had she crossed the finishing line, she proclaimed 26 marathons in 26 days was not enough!

She made a special announcement that she was going to do 27 marathons in 27 days by running the Tenby course again to finish her children's hospice fund-raising mission.

Rosie will be beginning the Tenby marathon tomorrow (Saturday) at 9 am from the top of Tudor Square and it's hoped there will be a good turnout of well-wishers to see her on her way.

This week, she has completed marathons in Reading, Windsor, Stratford and will be in Llanelli today (Friday). If anyone would like to help drive Rosie from Llanelli, please get in touch.

Rosie says she still dreams of the first marathon seeing all the children in their green Wales marathon t-shirts.

"Nowhere has put on such a display as Tenby did for my first marathon, and I'm so glad I made the decision to run the extra marathon at home in Tenby," said Rosie, who thanks everyone in Tenby and Pembrokeshire for their support.

Rosie apologises if she has not returned all calls, but she is getting over 150 per day, and it's impossible to call back.

"Just trying to get food and sleep in is a real challenge, almost harder than the running itself," said Rosie.

"It has been a crazy and lovely journey and I've not slept under a roof since I left Tenby!"

"I now can't wait to see everyone on Saturday," she added.

If you would like to get involved in Rosie's homecoming celebrations, contact Matthew Evans, chief executive of Activity Wales, at [email protected]">[email protected]

It is estimated that she will finish the marathon around 5 pm, but the Activity Wales team will be in full radio contact with Rosie all the way around so will relay the information to well-wishers nearer the time.

Rosie's challenge is in aid of Ty Hafan, the family hospice in Cardiff, and Helen House in Oxford, the world's first children's hospice, and Douglas House, also in Oxford, the first for young people.

Sponsor forms can also be found at Coastal Cottages' Tenby office, Kate Blair Hairdressers, Webb Computers and Weybourne Guest House.

Tenby's new Wales marathon will be part of the exciting three-day gruelling Long Course Weekend event which is being hosted by Tenby in September.

There is also a half marathon option for those not wanting to run the full 26.2 miles!
