OVER 100 former and present students and members of staff at Tenby Community Learning Centre gathered shortly before Christmas to say farewell to Rosemary Tippett-Maudsley on her retirement from Learning Pembrokeshire - the county council's adult community learning service.
Rosemary joined the service from teaching in the autumn of 1989 and initially organised youth and adult services, later specialising in adult and community learning.
She led many community projects, taught teacher-training courses and organised trips abroad, including a recent visit to the World War One battlefields in northern France.
At the same time, farewells were also said to one of Learning Pembrokeshire's longest-serving tutors, Lindsay Oeppen.
Lindsay taught GSCE English for many years with an almost 100 per cent success rate.
