Milford Haven girl Rosalyn Wild has met the Prime Minister, David Cameron at Downing Street after making it through to the finals of the national TV competition Britain's Kindest Kid, run by the Charities Aid Foundation and 5 News.
Rosalyn, 15, has been volunteering at Pembrokeshire Action to Combat Hardship since the charity was formed three years ago. She takes part in a number of aspects of the charity's work from helping to sort out donations of food and clothing to greeting clients who visit the charity. She also helps raise awareness of the charity's work by appearing in a play about what the charity does.
On top of her work with PATCH, Rosalyn takes an active role in looking after her elderly grandparents. She cooks them a meal every day and cleans for them.
Britain's Kindest Kid, which is now in its fourth year, was set up to recognise and reward the charitable behaviour of children aged between five and 16. The finalists have all demonstrated the impressive things they have done to improve the lives of others and make a real difference to the world.
Prime Minister, David Cameron said: "This is a remarkable group of young people and a great way of celebrating their talent and dedication. I hope other young people will see this, be inspired by their incredible positive vision and think 'I can do that'."
After meeting the Prime Minister, Rosalyn, the only Welsh finalist, said: "It was a long trip to London, but it was worth it. The Prime Minister was really good to meet and it was great to tell him about the work of PATCH."
Rosalyn and the four other finalists were each presented with a medal and a certificate to recognise their achievements.
The stories of the five finalists have been broadcast on the Channel 5 evening news this week, with Rosalyn's story being told this (Friday) evening.
The viewers will then vote by phone or online to nominate the person who they think is 'Britain's Kindest Kid'.
Voting starts on Friday at 5 pm and the lines are only open until 11 pm the following Monday, November 14.
