Rogue traders were targeted in Pembrokeshire as part of a special operation. Pembrokeshire Roads Policing Unit and Pembrokeshire County Council Trading Standards took part in operation rogue trader last week. During the operation, seven commercial vehicles were stopped and three were seized. A man was also arrested after being spotted by Milford Haven Neighbourhood Policing Team selling household goods door to door in Marble Hall Close. The man was wanted for burglary in Hay on Wye. Superintendent Euros Lewis stated that householders must be wary of unexpected callers and strangers at their door. He added that when answering your door it is important to remember to: Stop: Is anyone expected? Lock your back door. Put your chain on before opening the door. Ask for ID, check it by 'phone - a genuine caller will not mind waiting while you do this. Do not let anyone into your house. Most people calling at your premises will be who they say they are; however, please remember a minority will not. "If in doubt keep them out," he said.
