A road closure planned for Tenby’s Lower Frog Street for carriageway reconstruction to take place has been postponed.

Speaking at Tuesday night’s meeting of Tenby Town Council, the town clerk, Andrew Davies, told members that the work which had been set to commence on March 5 had been put back, as work already taking place along St. George Street had been delayed.

The Mayor, Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane, recently commented that she hoped the companies carrying out the works would be sympathetic to residents, as it was proving very difficult to get around the town with so many restrictions in force.

Traffic restrictions are also in place along Bridge Street for six weeks to allow for water mains replacement works to take place.

The alternative route for traffic is via St Julian’s Street, Tudor Square, High Street and Crackwell Street, which has temporarily been made two-way to enable access to properties located along its length where practicable.
