Pembroke Ladies Guild are delighted to announce that the annual RNLI fun run and walk on Castlemartin Range has raised a total of £3,068.

A fundraisers celebration was held on Thursday last at the Old King's Arms Hotel, Pembroke, courtesy of hotel owner Mrs. Shirley Wheeler, Guild vice-president. Gratitude as always to Shirley and her staff.

There are two vital components to the organisation of the fun run/walk event before we are ready to go.

Firstly, the support of Major Inglis MBE, Range Commandant, and the British Army who plan the route and ensure athletes safety, also giving their support throughout the day.

Secondly, Angle not only has our lifeboat and its crew, but also another amazing 'crew' of vintage tractor enthusiasts - Jo, Martin, Jack, Julie, Paul, Johanne and Phil who erect the marquee.

A huge thank you to all those photographed who individually raised over £100. In fact three ladies 'you know who you are' raised £1,000 of the total.

Our thanks to the 96 walkers and 16 runners who took part and collected sponsorship, everyone of you our so important for the success of the event.

Thanks again to our sponsors, Valero and Upton Farm Foods, our DJ Keith, our vet Billa Schleicher and our guest Simon Hart MP and his family.

Finally, thanks to walk chair and vice-chair of Pembroke Ladies Guild, Viv Kerrison, Guild members and their families.

Pembroke Guild look forward to your support and working with you all again in 2015, in aid of the RNLI.
