A capacity crowd came to Manorbier Castle on Friday evening (August 3) to enjoy a wonderful family night out when the ever popular Rin Tins - supported by Karsilama - returned to ‘Swing the Castle’. Mums and dads, children and grandparents all came to listen to the music, enjoy a picnic, a burger and a drink from the bar.

The Rin Tins showed once again why they are one of the UK’s most popular festival bands. The band’s ethos is to get them dancing and their blend of gipsy swing rhythms and pounding oopma beat compels audiences to get up and live the music! When the band played, everyone got up on their feet and danced and the castle swung! The children especially enjoyed the experience!

The event was organised by the Rin Tins in support of MIND Pembrokeshire. At the end of the event, Jim Davies of the Rin Tins presented a cheque for £1,326 to Tracey Price, CEO of MIND Pembrokeshire, representing the profits from the gate. This will aid their work supporting mental health in our community. The Pembroke Rotary Club who provided the barbeques raised an additional £640 which will support Rotary charities.

Tracey Price said: “Everyone who attended had an awesome night in beautiful surroundings - a big thank you to Manorbier Castle for hosting this amazing event! It was another example of the community coming together to support important causes.”

The Rin Tins would like to thank Manorbier Castle who donated this wonderful venue free of charge and without whose help and support the event would not have been possible.
