Sir, At last, Tenby Scouts and Guides can uncross 'their everything' as the plans for the redevelopment of the Scout and Guide Hall site in Warren Street were passed by the Pembrokeshire National Parks this week. It has been a very uncomfortable 20 years or so, while we have been campaigning, but with the good news we can relax somewhat, in the knowledge that what proved to be a bigger hurdle than expected, has been cleared. Through your newspaper, may we take this opportunity to thank so many people, of Tenby and district, who have supported our cause? Firstly, GKV Developments, who have stuck with the project despite many problems and hold-ups, by supporting us with their time, expertise and financial backing. Without them we would not be in the joyous position we are today. We are always grateful for the support of the Tenby Town Council and greatly appreciate their efforts on our behalf. Tenby and district organisations have been fantastic in their constant backing and financial support over so many years and to you we extend our heartfelt thanks. (Haven't we seen many of you in a field or on a stage at some time?). We would also like to thank the many local residents who took the trouble to write letters of support to the planning committee. So many local residents have voiced their feelings of support for the development and there are too many to mention in this letter, but to you also we are most grateful. There is still a long way to go before the Rainbows, Brownies Guides, Cubs and Scouts can move into their new hall, but at least we feel 'We're riding along on the crest of a wave' on the way there.

Colin Jones, trustee and chairman, Jan Evans, trustee and vice-chairman, Scout and Guide Hall Management Committee.
