Rhydian Williams, workshop manager at Bugols in Narberth, will be competing again in this year's SkillBuild competition being held in Coleg Sir Gar on Thursday, June 17.

SkillBuild is the largest multi-trade competition in the country for construction trainees and apprentices. The competition is run by ConstructionSkills with the endorsement of UK Skills, the competition managers for the bi-annual WorldSkills competitions.

Success at the SkillBuild regional heats will give entrants the opportunity to challenge for a place on the WorldSkills UK team and progress to compete at the 2011 WorldSkills competition in London. So the sky is the limit!

CITB student of the year in 2007, a year later Rhydian won a construction and design award 'in recognition of outstanding accomplishments and contributions in carpentry and joinery'.

Last year, Rhydian competed in SkillBuild and won the regional section, and this year has appeared on Bro for S4C where he was interviewed by Iolo Williams.
