Friday, December 1, was the annual celebration of switching on Reynalton’s Christmas lights display, and this year, James, of AC.DC Electrics (also a Reynalton resident), has done ther village proud with a stunning new display.
As usual, the celebrations began with switching on the lights, this year to the tune of ‘Away in a Manger’, and were then continued in the brightly decorated village hall. It was again very much a local affair, with music and singing by David Stanley - entertaining and professional at the same time, as well as leading everyone in singing well known Christmas carols. Other entertainment was provided by a special Christmas quiz and Christmas themed bingo games as mulled wine and mince pies were served.
The raffle prizes were kindly provided by members of the hall committee and Croft Country Park - many thanks to all who contributed and helped to set-up the evening.
If you are in the Reynalton area in the next few weeks, go to see their lights and you won’t be disappointed.
