Regarding Withybush Hospital, my concern is that it is being used as a pawn for retail development. Located next to the hospital on one side are Marks and Spencers, Boots and Laura Ashley, while on the other side are Homebase, Wickes etc.

The hospital and field adjacent to it could link these properties in a giant retail park if the hospital was redeveloped.

Could this be the real reason why the services are being downgraded, so it leads to the eventual demise of the hospital and people's wellbeing.

Although it is only my opinion, it may have some gravitas when people logically think of the retail locations.
