A local councillor has made a request for more public shelters to be erected in Tenby. Clr. Mrs. Trisha Putwain claimed at Tuesday night's meeting of the town council that there was a lack of shelters placed around the resort. "I feel elderly visitors to Tenby greatly appreciate the shelters, so it's a shame that they are sparse around the town," she said. "There is no roof on the Esplanade gardens shelter as the county council believed that it encouraged anti-social behaviour, but the shelter over by the North Walk is more likely to encourage this as it it less visible and hidden away. "A shelter by the lovely new Croft gardens would also be ideal," added Clr. Mrs. Putwain.
