The evening of Thursday, May 7, proved a relaxing time for staff and friends of Y Nyth Kindergarten, Manorbier.
For it was then that a fund-raising 'Evening for Ladies' was kindly hosted by Pam Maggs at the Soutchliffe Hotel in Tenby.
Wine and coffee etc. were provided by Pam and Brian, while Sarah Rigby, of the kindergarten, opened the evening with a short presentation on the principles of Steiner education.
Helen from 'House of Colour' gave an interesting and enlightening presentation about colour co-ordination when choosing clothes and accessories to complement hair colour and complexion. Her model, Sydney Vickery from Tenby, was the perfect example with her beautiful Titian hair colouring.
The second presentation was from Lynda Reid Taylor, a reflexologist from Tenby, who demonstrated Indian head massage - a most relaxing and soothing treatment. Lynda's model for the evening was her daughter.
Throughout the evening, Barbara and colleagues displayed a large selection of perfumes, cosmetics and toiletries for sale at greatly reduced prices.
Pam, Brian and Sarah would like to thank all who supported the evening and for giving so generously towards funding for equipment at Y Nyth, with £200 raised.
The kindergarten children would also like to say a big thank you to Pam for the money raised previously, which paid for the new grain mill, which now enables the children to grind their own flour.
Anyone interested in kindergarten sessions can contact Y Nyth directly.
