With March already upon us, Saundersfoot Footlights are already three months into their rehearsals for their summer show 'Me and My Girl'.
With a full cast of all ages, the society was pleased to welcome back younger members who had been in the recent pantomime for the first time, and they brought with them others to join!
Alongside longstanding members, the show is shaping up to be a success with a very funny script revised by Stephen Fry.
Allison Franklin, who has played many supporting character roles, is perfectly cast as lead female cockney Sally Smith.
Footlights also welcomes back Gareth Morris, who plays the loveable cockney Bill Snibson, and he's certainly giving Robert Lindsay - who played the part in the London revival - a run for his money!
Georgina Knowles joins Footlights for the first time this year and is creating some brilliant choreography to songs you'll know such as 'The Sun Has Got His Hat On' and 'The Lambeth Walk'!
Thanks also to Rachel Hickman who has been working hard ensuring the singing and harmonies are note perfect with the unfailing support of pianist Eileen Thomas.
As always fantastic scenery and costumes will add the finishing touches to a funny, upbeat show.
The show runs from Monday, May 30, to Saturday, June 4, in the Regency Hall, Saundersfoot, and all performances will start at 7.30 pm.
