It's a CD that may not make the charts, but to the children of Pennar School Choir, it's 'just magic'. The 30-strong junior school choir have just recorded a fourteen track CD with songs ranging from the classical 'Panis Angelicus' to modern classics such as 'California Dreamin'. Produced by the Dreamworks studio in Letterston, the CD is the culmination of four years of hard work for the children, during which they have earned many accolades for the maturity and quality of their singing. The choir is conducted by Claire Thomas and accompanied by Debbie Kaijaks, who are both staff members at Pennar. Pennar Choir are twice winners of the Pembroke and District Male Voice Choir School's competition, and next year, it's hoped that they will qualify for the Llangollen International Festival. The record has been produced with the help of Paul Rowe, Parfitts Carpets, Perfect PC's and M. A. Rowe Consultancy Services, cover designs are by pupils Emily Kaijaks and Benjamin Pearce, and copies, of which 120 have already been sold, are available from members of staff or the school.
