A first-ever National Park guided walk on Manorbier Army Range takes place next Wednesday, August 9. National Park ranger Lynne Ferrand and archaeologist Polly Groom join forces to lead the two-mile walk which will look at the landscape, archaeology and history of the headland on which the range is situated.

The walk is by kind permission of the Commandant of the range. Walk numbers are limited to 20 on a first-come basis and places must be booked by contacting Lynne on 07866 771188.

Said Lynne: "This is a special opportunity to discover some of the history of this important area. The route will be quite steep in places, so proper walking footwear will be needed - not sandals or flip flops. We are grateful to the Ministry of Defence for allowing access."
