A group of 16 ramblers met at the Salutation Inn in Felindre Farchog on Saturday to begin a 12-mile walk in glorious sunshine.

The walk began by exploring the area around Castell Henllys and Pengeli Forest, before crossing the A487 and following wooded paths along the valley of Afon Brynberian to Craig Rhosyfelin.

After a short section of road walking, the ramble proceeded across fields, giving beautiful views of the Preseli hills, before entering Tycanol Nature Reserve for a lovely wooded walk to Penwern and then by a sunken lane back to Felindre Farchog and a well-earned drink at the inn.
