Ten members of the Pembrokeshire Ramblers Group joined a group of Worcestershire Ramblers for a 10-mile walk along the spectacular Glamorgan Heritage Coast.

Starting from Dunraven Bay, the walk passed through woodland valleys full of bluebells, and then along open cliffs and through fields. Fine views were obtained from the tall limestone cliffs across the Bristol Channel.

Lunch was taken at Traeth Bach, where some walkers braved the ladders to descend to the beach. After a greyish start, the weather brightened to include some sunshine by the afternoon.

The walk continued past Nash Point, the lighthouse, St. Donats Castle before finishing in Llantwit Major. The trip was completed with a fine Italian meal at a restaurant in Llantwit Major.

The next walk with the Pembrokeshire Ramblers Group will be a medium walk in the Dinas Mountain area tomorrow (Saturday), starting from Pwllgwaelod at 10.30 am. The leader is Jean Morris (tel. 01348 872969).

On Sunday, June 4, there will be a short walk in Minwear Woods starting at 11 am from the Blackpool lay-by just past the Mill. The leader is Christine Morris (tel. 01646 697543).
