Sir,

What a shame to see the last Great Western Express train leave Tenby here last Saturday, September 7 (the end of the summer season, yet Tenby Arts Festival starts in two weeks time!).

I wonder, is there anyone in South Pembrokeshire (who has more power and influence) to promote our railway to the outside world!

I'm serious. Most small holiday resorts and areas like Pembrokeshire (which really rely on visitors for their economy) would give their eye teeth for a rail connection (and decent trains) - and who'd like to see a fast, comfortable commuter service to and from Cardiff and Bristol and beyond, making Tenby a viable place to live and work, rather than retire to.

William Rogers,

Cardiff.
