Templeton Heritage Group commemorated 70 years since the opening of RAF Templeton with an exhibition depicting the history of the airfield before, during and after the war years..
The event was opened by Wing Commander Partridge who shared some of his memories of the airfield from his cadet days.
John Winship, an ex-World War II Spitfire pilot, also attended and compared his flying experiences with those of the Wing Commander who flew in Tornados.
The guided walk, with commentary, over the airfield on the following Tuesday, also proved to be a very popular event.
