BBC Radio Wales is to honour the history of Tenby Lifeboat Station which is celebrating its 175th anniversary.
At the recent Radio Wales 'Look Up Your Genes' open day held at the town's De Valence Pavilion, lifeboat members were involved in a display of the station's history and local author Avis Nixon was asked to relate a chapter from her book 'A Tenby Lifeboat Family', published by John Fish Publishers, Tenby.
The chapter recorded was the 'Fermanagh Rescue' and it will be broadcast in a month's time.
Avis was also asked to give a 30-minute recorded interview on her work which will be used as an honour to local heroes.
