As my year as captain of the Tenby Rabbits draws to a close, it was a bright Sunday morning that greeted 17 players for the B & H Shield and high scores were a definite possibility.

The eventual winner was Tim Jackson with 44 points, helped along the way with a fabulous hole-in-one at the par three 6th and a nice drop of Scotch for everyone at the 19th! Well done Tim.

Paul 'Decanter' Davies, who has played steady golf all year was second and in third place was next year's vice-captain Tim 'Niblick' Davies.

Summer League saw the Rabbits have a mixed season, with some disappointing results which sees us playing in Pool B next year.

However, on the bright side, we retained the Tom Mclean Snuff Box, beating Ashburnham 5-2 on their own course, which was no mean feat.

Congratulations go to Mark 'Simples' Edwards, Paul Davies, and Terry 'Two Shots' Davies, who won some of the major club competitions, namely the Allen Cup, Fitchett Bowl and Cobb Cup, respectively.

Finally, my thanks go to all the players who have supported me throughout my year and to my vice-captain Mackie Harts for up to the minute weather reports during the winter league and I wish him every success for his year as captain.

To all Rabbits, don't forget October 10 is our match against the Divots and the AGM on Friday, October 15.
