Amy's Diary follows the life of Amy Browning during the time she kept a diary - from her 18th birthday, and throughout the whole of World War II, which started soon afterwards. We follow Amy's transformation from a young girl working in a dye factory, to a married woman with twins waiting for her husband to return at the end of the war.
It is an interesting read, with details of everyday life during the war, and plenty of drama. This is one of the books that will be discussed at the new Quick Read reading group being held at Tenby Library on Tuesday, January 13, at 5 pm. This group is open to anyone who maybe hasn't thought of reading for fun and would like to give it a go with the encouragement of other people to chat to about interesting books or short stories.
For more information, please pop in to the library on Greenhill Avenue, or phone Tenby 843934, or just come along on Tuesday!
