As part of its ambitious £500k refurbishment appeal, the Queens Hall in Narberth has launched a raffle to win a brand new Kia Picanto.

Town mayor Cllr Elizabeth Rogers was the first purchaser of the £5 tickets which will be on sale for the next seven months with the draw being on January 6, 2020.

The raffle has been sponsored by local car dealers Gravells and the car was donated by a generous supporter of the hall who wishes to remain anonymous.

The 60-year-old hall is busy raising money for new flooring plus energy efficient heating and lighting.

Tickets are now on sale from the Queens Hall in High Street, Narberth and will be available at all events until the end of the year.

Hall manager Sue Lewis said: “This is a fantastic idea which will be a major fundraiser for this much loved community hall. For a fiver’s flutter you could be the lucky person driving a brand new car in the New Year!”

Raffle organiser and hall trustee Callum Goldthorpe said: “We are really grateful to Ian Gravell of Gravells for his help and support. The hall has been part of the community for over half a century and we want to make sure it survives well into the future.”
