As we were going to press yesterday (Thursday), police confirmed that emergency services had attended an incident at Blaencilgoed Quarry, Ludchurch, in which a man was injured.
The man was evacuated from the scene by air ambulance shortly after 12 noon.
An investigation will now be carried out by the Health and Safety Executive.
