At 11 am on Saturday, of November 12, Narberth Quakers and the Pembrokeshire Peace Group will meet at the Celtic Cross at the corner of St. James Street and Spring Gardens, Narberth, for the eighth annual multi-faith service of remembrance.

After the short service, to which everyone is most welcome, a wreath of mixed red and white poppies will be laid. White poppies commemorate all victims of all wars, are a commitment to peace, and challenge the celebration and glamorisation of war.

Prior to this, on Friday, of November 11, between 10 am and 2 pm, white poppies will be on sale from a stall promoting peace issues outside the Span Arts building in Narberth car park. Proceeds will go to the organisation Medicins sans Frontieres (Doctors without Borders), to support their work with the victims of on-going wars.
